I am writing to express my concern and absolute horror about the proliferation of GM Food Products and GM Field Trials in this country and the considerable risk to the Immune System of the Irish population and the irreversible damage to the environment of this incomparable country.
These products and tests are being trust upon us by Multi-National Companies such as Novartis and Monsanto for the sole aim of increasing their profits and the current Government is colluding with this development which is totally contrary to nature and will result in a more substantial disaster than the BSE crises ever produced.
Under no circumstances should we continue to have anything to do with GM Food Products or allow trials to be allowed to take place in this country, but instead all our efforts should go into promoting Organic Farming and thus promote the natural green attributes of this lovely countryside. This should be our number one priority and be recognised for the quality food products which we are capable of producing.
